As a psychologist, I am deeply committed to understanding and respecting the diverse ways brain’s function and strive to create a therapeutic environment where differences are not just acknowledged and supported but also celebrated. Whether through therapy or comprehensive evaluations, I am dedicated to creating healing pathways that honor each person's unique experiences. My goal is not just to treat, but to empower, focusing on systemic healing for individuals and families. As part of this process, I look at symptoms in the context of the larger web of relationships and external factors that impact personal well-being.
Drawing from extensive training and experience with neurodiversity, trauma recovery, and developmental psychology, I create therapeutic experiences that honor your brain’s natural ways of processing, learning, and connecting.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming
Education/Training
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I studied the influence of social determinants and temperament and personality traits on mental health outcomes. During graduate training, I also received comprehensive instruction and experience with psychological assessment and several empirically supported treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP) while working with both adults and children in various clinical settings.
My predoctoral internship was completed at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and the Center for Development and Disability, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. While there, I received in-depth training and experience utilizing evidence-based therapies for treating traumatic stress (e.g., TF-CBT, Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Parent-Child Psychotherapy (CPP)). I also conducted comprehensive developmental evaluations for children with suspected neurological conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, as part of a multidisciplinary team. My postdoctoral training was completed at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and Children’s Hospital Colorado. As a psychology fellow, I conducted integrated behavioral health services in order to facilitate early identification and treatment of mental and behavioral health issues within pediatric primary care settings, and conducted trainings for medical students on perinatal mental health and traumatic stress.
After completing my formal training, I began my private practice while also working at the Attention, Behavior, and Learning Clinic at the University of Colorado Boulder. At CU, I supervised doctoral students in the assessment of children and adolescents with suspected neurodevelopmental challenges (e.g., ADHD, ASD, learning differences) and/or behavioral and emotional concerns. Likewise, I provided supervision in child/adolescent therapy to doctoral students through the Raimy Psychology Clinic.
I currently exclusively work in private practice and am affiliated with the Boulder Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (BCCBT/bouldercbt.com).
